The Raymond James Financial Center is comprised of four towers all connected by catwalks. Visually, these multi-story buildings lacked a uniform appearance and internally throughout all the buildings, there were needs for a reduction of interior heat, less sun glare and overall greater energy efficiency. Notice how uniform and aesthetically improved the top two floors look after being filmed. The absence of office equipment and "personalized" windows complement the architectural design and increases desired privacy. Occupants also benefit from a cooler and glare-free working environment.   In order to increase the strength of each pane of glass and decrease the chance for windows to be blown out of their frames, we bonded EVERY window to its frame. This bonding, referred to as an "attachment system" or a "wet glazing" system was developed to anchor window systems during extreme force from severe weather, earthquakes or blasts.

Spandrel glass comprised 20% of Raymond James' windows. These panes required exterior film installations and the use of specialized equipment. Nothing new and certainly not a problem for my crew!

We used swing stages as ideal platforms for exterior film applications on spandrel glass systems. The maneuverability of the boom lift enabled us to move from side to side and reach a broad range of exterior windows. Certain unique areas required maximum maneuverability.The boatswain chair helped us to achieve perfect installations in the most challenging aspects of the project. Don't try this by yourself at home!
